Emily + Jordan | LET LOVE GROW

Emily and Jordan first met in High School, but that isn’t where their love story began...that would be so boring! Though they knew each other, they didn’t really connect until Jordan moved out of state to work in Colorado while Emily was going to college in Ellensburg, WA. Emily admits that Jordan kept trying to connect with her, but she wasn’t interested...or so she says. After blowing him off while they were both home visiting their families, Jordan started calling Emily every night where they ended up talking for hours. One weekend Jordan flew home to surprise Emily with a 48-hr visit, as it was all the time he could get off from work, just to see her. After he flew back to Colorado, having just gotten off the airplane, he called Emily and asked "what do you say about flying down here and driving with me back to Washington"? Emily admits she was confused and asked Jordan “why”? He simply said, “because I am going to move home and I am going to marry you”.

After dating for many months, they started talking about marriage, and then last Christmas 2017, they flew to Montana for a little trip. By chance, they happily came upon a ring shop that was having a big sale. They went in just to look, and came out with a ring they both loved for “someday”. That someday came sooner than Emily knew. One night in February, after going out to dinner, Jordan raced upstairs to the house from the garage. Emily thought maybe he was feeling sick because Jordan was acting funny all throughout dinner. Emily went up after him to see how he was, and to her surprise, found the hallway lined with candles and rose petals. This lead her to the kitchen where Jordan was on one knee and had spelled out “will you marry me?” in candles. Can we saw SWOON?!

On a beautiful sunny day on the first of September, Jordan and Emily said their "I do's" in front of their closest family and friends on the rustic, elegant grounds of Eagle Mountain Ranch; a lush countryside with a breathtaking view of orchard trees and Arabian horses roaming the fields. The tables were adorned with peach and white dahlias in rustic metal vases, and at each place setting was a packet of wildflower seeds for guests with the inscription “Let Love Grow”. The entire day radiated their fun-loving personalities; from the backyard BBQ vibe with an elegant twist, to singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to one of their groomsmen, complete with a cupcake and candle! Emily’s vision was to have a wedding that was intimate, but also captured their love for each other, and the ones closest to them. When I asked her what the most important thing she wanted captured, she said “capturing everyone’s happiness, interacting, laughing and enjoying life. You don't realize how short life is, and it is rare to have everyone you love in one place”. Emily, I couldn't agree with you more!

Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Norde! I am so honored and blessed to have been given the opportunity to capture your precious day and witness your love! I cannot wait to see what marriage has in store for the two of you. Best of luck and always...let love grow!
